March is Women's History Month and, in honor of this occasion, here is a site where--believe it or not--you can actually order puppets that are shaped like a woman's vagina. If you are thinking about buying one of these unique puppets for a small child to play with (I can only imagine the kind of puppet shows a kid could dream up with those puppets)--think again. Each puppet costs somewhere between $250-300 each. They come in a variety of colors and designs so there is bound to be one color scheme that impresses anyone who wants to buy one of these.
These Vulva Puppets were supposively created as both a fundraiser and as a way of raising awareness about human sexuality among the general population. If that's the case, then where are the penis-shaped puppets? I'm surprised that no one has decided to create companion penis puppets for the Vulvas. After all, Barbie has her Ken so why couldn't there be a Penis Puppet for a Vulva Puppet? Or are all the Vulva Puppets lesbians? These are the kinds of twisted questions that have popped up in my twisted mind.
In honor of Black History Month, here is a site that truly distorts the facts about the life of Martin Luther King, Jr.
Imagine that you are a student whose assignment is to write a paper on the Civil Rights leader. You do a search in Google.com for any related sites and you find one with the URL http://www.martinlutherking.org/. You think "Gee, with a URL like that, it must be a site that was authorized by the King family." You arrive at the site and you find that it's very professionally designed, well laid-out, and it loads very fast on your browser. Then you view a quote on the left-hand side of the page that says "That night King retired to his room at the Willard Hotel. There FBI bugs reportedly picked up 14 hours of party chatter, the clinking of glasses and the sounds of illicit sex--including King's cries of 'I'm f--ing for God' and 'I'm not a Negro tonight!'"
You look at that quote and think, "WHOA! They never taught THAT in school!" You check out the Historical Writings section and it redirects you to a site called "The Martin Luther King Jr. Plagiarism [sic] Page" that claims that Martin Luther King plagarized the writings of others. But that's not all. You visit other parts of the site and you'll learn other "facts" that your teachers never taught you: Martin Luther King was a communist, he had extra-marital affairs with white women (including prostitutes), and that he was a front for the Jews who were the actual leaders of the Civil Rights movement (which was part of a plot for them to take control of the United States). The site even provides free flyers for you to download in the hopes that you will make copies of them and post them around your school so that you'll help publicize this site and tell the "truth" about Martin Luther King, Jr.
By that point, you're wondering what the hell is going on here. You click on the link that says "Contact the Webmaster" and you see an address for one vincent.breeding@stormfront.org. If you were to type http://www.stormfront.org in your browser, you'll see that Stormfront.org is a White Power site and the Martin Luther King site is an attempt to recruit new members (preferably of European descent) among students who are duped into visiting this site in the hopes of doing research for their school papers.
This is a perfect example of bait-and-switch advertising at its sleaziest.
This site bills itself as providing photos and links to sites with young pre-teen (more specifically, ages 15 and under) girl models. The site says that it deals with clothed models only but many of the photos posted shows young girls modeling clothes that are so skimpy that they don't leave much to the imagination. This site is for those who think that Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera are too mature and developed for their tastes. (In other words, you have to be a pedophile to get turned on by this site.)
UPDATE (April 1, 2002): When you visit this site nowadays, you get a blank white screen. Whether this is temporary or permanent remains to be seen.
UPDATE (January 7, 2003): This site has been converted to a generic portal site providing links to things like karaoke, entertainment, toys, DVD's, CD's, careers, and online gambling. You won't find any skimpy-dressed pre-pubescent girls on this site anymore.
